Connect Gmail or Google Workspace

Connect with Google

Settings → Email accounts → Connect with Google. You sign in with Google and approve sending and reading mail; no password is stored. While the Google app is in Testing mode a connection lasts 7 days: when it says Reconnect, click it once.

With an app password

1. Turn on 2-Step Verification for your Google account.
2. Go to Google Account → Security → App passwords and create one.
3. Paste the 16-letter app password in Settings → Email accounts (spaces are ignored).
4. Press Test to check the connection.
