Your profile, signature and variables

Settings → Profile holds the details your templates can use: your name as people see it, phone, LinkedIn, website and booking link. They fill the “Your …” merge tags, such as {{my_name}} and {{my_phone}}.

Signature

Settings → Signature is added at the end of every email that uses {{signature}}. It can use the same merge tags, so one signature fits every mailbox.

Custom variables

Settings → Custom variables are your own fixed values, like a portfolio link or years of experience. Each gets a merge tag you can use in any template. Renaming one keeps its tag, so templates keep working.

What you use it for

Settings → What you use it for (job search, sales outreach, email marketing) decides which pages and settings you see and the wording of the app. Nothing is deleted when you change it.
